Accommodation in Drøbak

There are many nice places to stay in Drøbak and Frogn, from historic hotels to idyllic boat guest harbors and a unique mirror glass cabin. There are also several great places to camp, both with tents and hammocks.

Historic hotels

Do you want to live centrally in Drøbak where the Kristiania residents lived when they visited Drøbak? Then the 100-year-old Reenskaug Hotel is the right place for you. The hotel has recently been redesigned with ´The Lobby´, a combined reception, bar and restaurant inspired by New York. And did you know that Knut Hamsun wrote the novel "Swarmers" in room 213?

At Oscarsborg is the fortress hotel Oscarsborg Hotel & Resort, where simple military barracks have been converted into beautiful hotel rooms with a military theme, several with sea views. This is also an excellent course and conference hotel, and very popular for weddings.

Unique mirror glass cabin

Nest Bunnefjorden is a popular new mirror glass cabin in Nordre Frogn, with its own sauna, hot tub and a large terrace with barbecue. The perfect place for a romantic stay, where you have access to your own little spa. It is also only 200 meters down to the fiord if you want to take a swim.

Coastal cabins

There are also several Coastal Cabins you can rent via Oslofjordens Friluftsråd, on the islands outside Drøbak. Both on Håøya and Bergholmen there are nice coastal cabins of all sizes.

On Håøya, the cozy little timber hut Badstua with room for four is worth checking out, while Eldhuset and Gamlegården are popular alternatives for larger groups. On Bergholmen Island, there are two coastal huts: Jacobinebua with space for 12 and Befalsboligen with space for 22.

Guest harbor and other accommodation

In Drøbak there are several guest harbors, you can choose between the guest harbor in the center of Drøbak by Café Sjøstjernen or Oscarsborg guest harbor, which has been nominated several times as "Guest Harbor of the Year". It is also possible to dock in Drøbak Boat Harbor if the owner of the mooring is gone and has given permission to do so.

For other accommodation, it is recommended to spend the night in a hammock or tent, either in  the forests surrounding Drøbak, or along the coast. Frogn has a lot of nature that is well suited for overnight stays in the open air, for example around our lakes Øvredammen or Oppegårdtjernet. There are also a good number of apartments that rent out throughout the year via various channels, including Airbnb.

At BUA in Drøbak boat harbor, which part of the Tourist Information service in Drøbak, it is possible to borrow both tents, hammocks, hiking equipment and ski gear completely free of charge.
