The family favorite

Lågøya has accommodation options in cozy cabins that the Oslofjorden Friluftsråd and DNT Oslo og Omegn collaborate on. The island, which is one kilometer long, has nice hiking areas, family-friendly bathing bays and a small playground.

Experience Lågøya

It is a great pleasure to welcome you to Lågøya! The island is centrally located in Indre Oslofjord, just west of Fagerstrand on Nesodden, in Frogn municipality. On Lågøya there are 21 cozy cabins for accommodation. The cabins can be rented from one to seven days. Here you can enjoy the nature of the island, take a bath or just enjoy the view. Sparebankstiftelsen DNB bought Lågøya from Circle K in 2022 – and the purpose is to make the island and the cabins accessible to everyone. Oslofjorden Friluftsråd and DNT Oslo og Omegn, will together organize the offer on Lågøya. They are now working on setting up the simple and pleasant cabins. From May 2023, the first 6 cabins will be ready for rental and more will be ready during the summer.

About the cabins

For simple coastal cabins or unattended DNT cabins, it is the location and the opportunity to engage in outdoor activities that make the experience unique. This is also the case on Lågøya. The cabins are sober, but cosy. They do not have running water or electricity, but all the cabins are in good condition and offer a high level of well-being and a lovely view. Although there are many cabins, the vast majority are sheltered from other cabins. To get to the cabins, you have to make your way along paths.
