Welcome to an Opera you never forget!

Foundation Oscarsborg Opera is a non-profit organization that produces  opera productions of the highest class in the courtyard of the fortress of Oscarsborg. In historic surroundings, the Foundation has produced great works as Aida, La Boema, Tosca, Rigoletto Carmen mf.

Besides performance offered noon rentals, boat transport from Oslo, accommodation and dining before the show and during the show.
 

This year's Opera Festival 2026 1-9 August

During the Oslofjord Opera Festival. From 1-9 August, OscarsborgOperaen invites you to a varied program with something for every taste.

Last year's great success, the children's opera Peter Pan, is performed on board the sailing ship S/V Legends – a performance for the whole family.

If you prefer to enjoy good food and drink in combination with music, and at the same time are curious about exploring the fortress's unique surroundings – from culverts to the view from the castle wall – we recommend the walking concert Musica in Castello. The music is performed by the internationally renowned Romeo & Julia Choir from Sweden.

For those of you who want a more rhythmic evening, we recommend Tango Opera – a full evening with Argentine impulses, with the orchestra Oquintango and the tango couple CS Tango, known from Norwegian Talents, where they danced their way to the final.

If you prefer a quieter experience, you can choose the Afternoon Tea concert and enjoy lute playing and singing with the duo Norbakken and Nystabakk. Program
