The Coastal Trail

The trail follow smooth rock outcrops and varied woodland terrain, passing beautiful swimming spots, scenic viewpoints, and idyllic white-painted coastal towns. Along the coastal trail, you will encounter a rich variety of cultural heritage sites, including burial cairns from the Late Neolithic period, traces of the ice export industry and the age of sailing ships, industrial heritage, and artists’ homes and colonies from the golden age of the Christiania bohemians.
We have digitalised points of interest along the coastal trail to offer new experiences and learning opportunities along the way. Enjoy engaging historical storytelling combined with memorable hiking and nature experiences.
