NorskRødtangen Camping is located at the southern tip of Asker municipality with a wide view of the Oslofjord. The campsite has both cabins for rent and day sites for tents and camping.
Rødtangen Camping has a playground, service facilities, kiosk and many regular summer guests.
The beach below the campsite is one of the most popular bathing beaches in the area, with sand and rocky rocks that provide good opportunities for sunbathing and swimming. The beach is child-friendly and has facilities such as toilets and barbecue areas. Rødtangen rents out kayaks and canoes and arranges various water activities.
The area around Rødtangen is rich in nature, with lush forests and beautiful hiking trails. There are several hiking opportunities for both shorter and longer hikes. The area is also popular for fishing and water sports activities such as kayaking and sailing. You will also find attractions and nice photo opportunities with beautiful views over the fjord such as Rødtangen Tåkeklokke, Rødtangen Light House and the Viking mounds.
During the summer holiday the Holmslbu train runs daily between the cammping site Holmsbu art museum, Holmsbu center and the church as well as Knatvoldstranda Camping, allowing for a nice hike between the two camping sites.
