Unique niche stores
Drøbak has many unique niche shops. In the city center, there is not a single chain store. Unlike most Norwegian towns, Drøbak is open on Sundays all year round.
Kashmina is a Norwegian clothing brand designed in Drøbak, known for its beautiful and exclusive garments in 100% cashmere. Rosenquist, Sima Masi, Ovidia Bay, Vicky West, Hos Mina and Yasmin are other clothing stores that sell women's clothing.
Fru Magnolia, Anneks, Lyst and Lysthuset are lifestyle stores that sell a combination of clothes and interiors, while No3 specialize in interior design. Calzado is primarily a shoe store, while Hamborg sells menswear. Butterfly is the place to go for quality swimwear and underwear. Schau Optik optician has great sunglasses.
Galleri Havstad is a gallery shop and framing workshop with visual art, ceramics, glass, jewelry, and other gift and decorative items. They feature art from well-known artists such as Nico Widerberg and Pushwagner. They also have a large selection of visual art from Norwegian artists Liz Ravn, Torbjørn Endrerud, Kristian Finborud, Jertrud Eikås, and Runi Langum. 90% of the items at Galleri Havstad are Norwegian-produced.
Tregaardens Julehus is a year-round Christmas house, selling all kinds of Christmas decorations. Drøbak is the official adress of Santa Claus in Norway and here is also Santa´s Post Office.
Sustainable shopping and recycling
There are also several places to shop sustainably in Drøbak. Fretex Drøbak in Storgata has clothes, toys, books, art and interior items.
Frk. Getz is a new store in Niels Carlsensgate that combines a workshop and a shop with used, retro, and redesigned items. Sitrus Second Hand is a new second-hand store.
Kiwanis Drøbak has a second-hand market every Saturday from spring to autumn in an old bunker by the historic Veisving battery at Seiersten bulwark.
Otherwise, there are several flea markets. In the summer, Drøbak square is also filled with lots of stalls and market vendors, from where everything from honey to antiques are sold.
Amfi Drøbak City Shopping Center
At Dyrløkke is Amfi Drøbak City, a shopping center with just over 30 shops. In addition to a supermarket, cafe, health food store, pharmacy, toy store, tailor, florist, bookstore and hardware store, there are clothing and lifestyle stores such as Lindex, Kappahl, Zavanna, Eurosko, Normal, Bogerud, B. Bunad and wedding
BunadRosen is a family business in Drøbak that specializes in the Norwegian national costume and accessories. Lises sewing room produces Lises Festdrakt, an alternative to the bunad.
Hairdressers and beauty therapists
There are many hairdressers in Drøbak, including Boulevard Hair Studio, Hope Hair, Gustino, Annikas Hårdesign, Fiin, Dr. Hår, Salong Strand and Hei Sveis. There are also several skin, beauty – and health therapists like Skin Lounge, Afrodite´s, W´ink Wenche Stageboe, Mia Massage, Frank Finnøy Osteopath & Muscle Therapy, Seaside Clinic, Yuphin Thai massage amongst others. There are also hairdressers at Dyrløkke and at the shopping center AMFI Drøbak City.
