Christmas town

It´s Christmas all year round in Drøbak! This is where Santa Claus has his official address and where Christmas mail from all over the world arrives. The Christmas House offers a festive atmosphere all year round. The yellow wooden house in Drøbak square is the Nordic region's only year-round Christmas house and a must-see attraction. In Drøbak harbor you will also find the Santa Claus traffic sign, right outside the Tourist Information office. If you would like to learn more about Norway´s famous Christmas “lutefisk”, take a trip to the Lutefisk Museum in Kroketønna, the world's only and one of the unique rarities in Drøbak.

Museums

Oscarsborg Fortress is particularly known for the sinking of the German cruiser Blücher on April 9, 1940. Oscarsborg museum consists of five museums, the two most famous being the Fortress Museum and the Torpedo Battery. You can book a guided tour all year round, and during the summer holidays, group tours are offered daily.

There are also fortifications in Drøbak, both Seiersten skanse, Veisvingbatteriet and Kopåsbatteriet are historical cultural monuments worth a visit.

Follo Museum is another exciting museum. This open-air museum located at Seiersten is surrounded by nature on all sides. It offers a walking theater, a museum mystery experience and guided tours in the summer. This summer, the Follo Museum also offers guided historical walks in Drøbak on Sundays.

The Norwegian Lutefisk Museum and Drøbak´s maritime museum are located in the cozy street of Kroketønna.

Family activities

Drøbak Aquarium in Drøbak harbor, is eastern Norway's only saltwater aquarium. Here, the whole family can experience many exciting species from the Oslo Fiord, with large and small fish tanks, a children's tunnel, a touch pool and much more.

You must also greet the catfish Hugo, the aquarium's mascot. Another family favorite is Bølgen Bad, with several pools for both training, therapy, and fun. Next to Bølgen there is a popular skate park. Knardal Funpark is a bike park that is perfect for those action seekers!

Active in Frogn

Drøbak Golf Club is an 18-hole golf course in scenic surroundings. Or how about experiencing the Oslo Fiord by sea? Both Drøbak RIB safari and RIB Adventure offer RIB safaris in the Oslo Fiord.

Drøbak Kystlag offers free lending of dinghies with electric motors and free sailing practice and boat handling courses by appointment. Drøbak is also a very good place for windsurfing.

Frogn also has many nice hiking areas through forests and around the coast.

Drøbak Sound is also an excellent place for kayaking and stand-up paddle boarding. Frogn is also a cycling paradise. Here you ride past strawberry fields, raspberry vines and farm shops before you enter Drøbak with its rich history and cultural heritage.

Beaches

Drøbak was an important summer bathing town at the end of the 19th century, with spa and baths for both men and women in Badeparken near the city center. Today, this is one of the inner Oslo Fiord´s finest bathing spots, with diving platforms, a beach volleyball court, floating docks and playgrounds. You can relax on the large grass area at Badeparken, sunbathe at Parrstranda or find a more private spot along the coast on the rocks.

There are several nice beaches in Frogn, such as the family beach Skiphelle, and Torkilstranda with good conditions for windsurfing. There are also several hidden gems, such as Nordstranda, Husvikstranda, Sprostranda, Sønderstøa, Slora Badeplass and Brevik.
