Cabins and camping

Coastal cabins

There are several Coastal Cabins you can rent via Oslofjordens Friluftsråd, on the islands outside Drøbak. Both on Håøya and Bergholmen there are nice coastal cabins of all sizes.

On Håøya, the cozy little timber hut Badstua with room for four is worth checking out, while Eldhuset and Gamlegården are popular alternatives for larger groups. On Bergholmen Island, there are two coastal huts: Jacobinebua with space for 12 and Befalsboligen with space for 22.

The island of Lågøya

Experience the scenic cabin paradise of Lågøya in the Oslo Fjord, accessible by Ruter boat.

Lågøya, a family favorite, offers accommodation in cozy cabins in collaboration with Oslofjorden friluftsråd og DNT Oslo and Omegn. The island, which is one kilometer long, boasts beautiful hiking areas, family-friendly bathing coves, and a small playground. Sparebankstiftelsen DNB purchased Lågøya from Circle K in 2022, with the purpose of making the island and its cabins accessible to everyone.

Camping

For other accommodation, it is recommended to spend the night in a hammock or tent, either in  the forests surrounding Drøbak, or along the coast. Frogn has a lot of nature that is well suited for overnight stays in the open air, for example around our lakes Øvredammen or Oppegårdtjernet.

Håøya

Visit one of the Oslofjord's most cozy islands this summer. Right next to the fortress island Oscarsborg is Håøya, with boat connections from Oslo and Drøbak daily in the summer. This is a great place to camp, with lots of nice tent sites and places to hang up the hammock.

For breakfast or lunch you should visit Håøya Naturverksted, the cozy café - and the house of the goat farmer Helge Haugen and his family. Here you can also climb Frogn and the Oslofjord's highest point, 229.4 moh.

There are also a good number of apartments that rent out throughout the year via various channels, including Airbnb.no and Finn.no.

Borrow camping equipment for free at BUA Drøbak
