Walking and hiking in Greater Oslo
Get an experience of rising into the clouds on Hjellsåstårnet sitting 12 meters above the ground with view to Tryvann and Norefjell if the weather is good. If that's not enough, visit Follo's new coastal path in Ås, newly built with 278 steps, this stretch along the coastal path from Breivoll along the Bunnefjord is finally passable and makes out for a great day trip.
The most popular places may be crowded. When you wish to enjoy the forest to yourselves we suggest a hike near Eidsvoll to Mistberget 663 masl followed by a climb into the 16 m high fire tower. Fjellsjøkampen, the highest point in our region near Hurdal is also worth an excursion. Stay at Hurdalsjøen Hotel which has a new spa area!
Mountaineering? The Kolsås peak is one of Oslo's largest climbing fields for experienced climbers and an accessible peak to reach. Hook up your ropes or just mount your hammock and spend the night with a spectacular view overlooking Oslo and the Oslo fjord. Vardåsen in Asker has easier but cool climbing facilities, also with great view.

Mindfulness among wild blueberries
Overnight stay in hammock is more popular than ever, and it's easy to see why. Less equipment needed thus less weight suits us girls perfectly. Find your own hill overlooking the settlement while watching the stars. A good tent site is flat, preferably with moss or heather that provides a softer surface. Remember to tighten the ropes properly, there may be a gust of wind every now and then.
Telling tales around the fire played a significant role to storytelling and developing close relationships throughout history. It is very soothing. Tips to enjoy your tour: pack warm clothes – even wool during Norwegian summer, good waterproof footwear, food and enough drink, and a headlight. Please obey to the campfire rules and bring all your waste back home.
