Activities in Drøbak

Drøbak Golf Course

At the entrance to Drøbak you will find the city's well kept and varied 18-hole golf course. Here you can test your skills and enjoy a walk through beautiful surroundings, right by the Follo Museum and Seiersten. Headpro Jim McGowan, who coached PGA Tour players Henrik Bjørnstad and Viktor Hovland when they were young, can certainly help you if you need to fix your swing.

Drøbak Seaside Resort

Skiphelle, Elleskjær, Torkild beach, Spro beach, the waterpark Badeparken, Nord beach and so on; Pick your favorite, there enough room for everyone

With the opening of Bølgen bath and activity center in 2019, Drøbak became an all year-round seaside destination. The activity center, located on Seiersten, is suitable forcompetitive swimmers, people who want to exercise, as well as parents with young children who want to play and enjoy themselves for a few hours.

In addition, there are many great places near Drøbak and in the municipality of Frogn where you can go swimming.

The skatepark

Skaters and BMX riders are welcome to unfold in the skatepark with the official name Meeting Point (Treffpunktet) activity park (no one uses it, but can be useful when googling). Scooters and rollerskates can of course also be used.. The bowl, jumpbox, quarterpipe and the rest of the park, located on Seiersten, are open every day until 10 pm. Remember to wear your safety gear.

Other activities

The road network in Frogn is popular with cyclists, both hard-working exercisers and families who just want to go on a nice bike ride. There are many routes to choose from; we suggest you either start, end - or take a break - in Drøbak. It is important to fill up with new energy as well as remember to hydrate.Something fresh from the craft bakery, a coffee and/or a smoothie on the pier or in the Badeparken will turn the break into the highlight of the day. Yu can choose the route via the Nesoddtangen and take your bike on the boat over to Aker Brygge in Oslo.

Fishing

Along our coastline there are several popular, and some a little more secluded, rocky outcrops and beaches for rod fishing. Check if there are any signs or posters before throwing out your line. There are good fishing opportunities in some of the lakes in the forest as well. You may need fishing licenses.

Windsurfing and paddle board

Torkildstranda is the local Eldorado for windsurfers and paddlers of various categories. The place is well known for its easy access with a parking lot right next to the beach as well as perfect weather conditions when it comes to windsurfing.

Sailing and kayaking

Sailing, canoeing and water sports are popular hobbies in a town that, in the 19th century, was one of Norway's most important sailing destination. The sailboats can be found in the area at Vindfanger Bay, just north of Drøbak city center. If you want to paddle, we suggest you choose the historic Jacobineruta, named after the legendary widow who served her life by rowing people across the strait.

Walking and hiking

Go for a walk or a hike - Probably Norwegians favorite hobby. In Drøbak and Frogn you can walk along the fjord, in the Seierstensmarkand wheelchair access starts from Follo museum, in the forest, or south towards Skiphelle and Klommestein. The scout hut at Høiåsbanen is open on Sundays; the many nice cafés and restaurants in Drøbak are never far away.
